I am a very enthusiastic equestrian and love all things horse related! I wanted to create a series of wild horses in their element. Capturing their explosive movement and strength. And also their soulful gazes and quiet stillness. I added an Oregon folk inspired border to the canvas which nods back gently to the West, and also my fondness for nordic pattern making.
